SPA500 Series Phones not supported on UC520 ?

Hi I was trying to setup UC520 8 users version with SPA 525, SPA501G and SPA504G, the phones are in the topology diagram on UC520, but they don't appear listed in the voice network in voice setup screen.

I went to the voice topology diagram and manually added this phones to the voice network, the 501 and 504 still not listed in voice setup, and the 525 is listed, but when i configure any feature and apply changes I get a Phone type not supported error. Please see the attached file

There is some way to have uc520 to detect spa500 phones in a plug & play way ?, there is a tricky setup process to achieve this or they are just simple not compatible with UC500.?

Help will be appreciated

Ok, you need to get onto SWP 8.0.2, which has IOS 15.0(1)XA2, CME 8.0,

CUE 7.1.3 and the latest phone loads for the newer SPA5xxx phones.

Next point is this. The CCA phone load manager (PLM) can be used to

specify the phone FW to be placed on flash. In addition, it places

sone TFTP server statements in the conf and the all important Load

statements under Telephony-service, which creates the XML files in

System:it's directory, which tells the booting phone which load to

look for.

The problem in early 7.x SWP was that the Load statements got inserted

as part of the SW upgrade, BEFORE the CME version supported the

SPA50x, so while it all looks right, it won't work.

What I recommend is use PLM in CCA 2.2.4 (upgrade you CCA), to remove

the phone loads, then readd them AFTER you upgrade.

Then they will be recognized.

What Swp are you using? They are compatible for a year now.

Hi Steve we're using cca 2.2.1 and then tryed a later version. for the Uc 520 we were using version 7.x

The phones are all detected in the topology diagram, but in the voice setup they are not listed except for 525G after I added it to voice network manually, then we got the phone type not supported message, for the 501 and 504, they aren't listed in voice setup so we can't do any configuration on those.

Thanks Steve We installed the software pack 8.02 and the phones were recognized inmediatly.

Know i have another issue, I tried to configure time card view, I filled in all the required information with no errors, but the apply button is inactive, I clicked on ok button as directed in lab 11 Smart application, aparently the changes are saved and the application appears activated in smart applications manager for some seconds, but after that the application becomes inactive like if no changes were saved.

If I go to CUE 7.0 page the time card view menu doesn't appear also.

What can I do to fix this??

Thanks
