Speed-dial buttons used during xfer / Individual pickups

Hello,

We have a SPA508 with Sidecar connected to a UC320W. This phone is used by a secretary.

We have noticed that when buttons are configured to "individual pickup" this pickup calls OK, but the same button can't be used to speed-dial an extension.

As a result we have the right column of buttons on the sidecar configured as Individual Pickup, and the left column as speed dial.

Problem 1. We have noticed that the Speed-dial buttons don't work for attended call transfers. Please advise.

Problem 2. Having to use two buttons to "monitor" an extension is a bit wasteful. Is there a better way ?

Thank you.

Adam

Re: Speed-dial buttons used during xfer / Individual pickups

Hi Adam,

BLF provides a good one button feature alternative to monitor and have fast transfer options for private extensions.  Please refer to this Use Case writeup for a productive side car configuration.  As for attended transfer, Presently, BLF and speed dial work as fast blind transfer features.  You can perform attended transfer by selecting the "xfer" softkey and dialing the extension and selecting "xfer" again after the consultation.

Hope this helps,

Jeff
