Standard Voicemail Greeting greyed out in Software Pack 8.2

Hello we recently performed an upgrade of a UC520 to software pack 8.2

Since the upgrade we have noticed that users are unable to enable their Standard voicemail greeting either by phone prompt or through CUE web interface. On the web interface the standard greeting status sections is greyed out not allowing the user to select enabled.

Is this a known bug of is there some kind of configuration that could be disallow access to the standard greetings

Thank you for your help,

-Stephen

Stephen, did you telnet in and try to issue a "service-module integrated-service-engine 0/0 status" command?  What does the status say?  Maybe you can issue a "service-module integrated-service-engine 0/0 reload" and /or "service-module integrated-service-engine 0/0 reset" command to reboot the CUE side?  Or a power off of the system?

Can they even get into their voicemail at all?  Or does Autoattendant work?

Hi John,

When I first tried to access CUE i got a Connection Refused message.

I then issued a reload command and was able to access a CUE session after that but still no change with the standard greeting.

I havent tried a CUE reset or restarted the entire UC520 yet.

Other than this problem with the standard greeting the Voicemail and AA systems seem to be working normally.

Reloaded the entire UC520 this morning and still no luck.

I have seen others with a similar problem on Cisco  Unity and they are instructed to run dbwalker tool to repair the  database. Is there an equivalent tool for CUE?

Are there any settings in CUE that could disable user access

Well I dont know.... but when recently doing a manual update of CUE I found this...  There is a "Disk Cleanup" option in CUE..

I was reading this https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-13686 and this..  https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-2170

Search for BOOT HELPER and choose option #3..  see if this helps.

Hi Stephen

I run into the same problem on an AIM-CUE running in a ISR 2801 - software-verison 7.2. I do have the greyed out standard-greeting only with one voicemailbox.

Did you manage to solve your issue?

regards,

Alfred

Hi Alfred,

Unfortunately I never did find a resolution to this problem. However recently we ran into another issue where the voicemail disk became full and crashed CUE.

As a result we were forced to reinstall CUE and after doing so the Greeting issue has dissapeared.

Sorry can be of more help,

-Stephen

Hi All,

Just curious as to wether a SBCS case was logged on this?

Cheers,

David.
