Existing 7965 that is working fine. I need to customize the second button on the device, in my case I'm adding a line but any customization fails. After clicking apply config in CUCM the device reboots but the new line does not appear. Have performed a factory reset, no joy. Any thoughts?
EDIT: Replaced the Cisco 7965 with another working phone and assigned the user from the original phone to the new phone. Same behavior. That tells me it has nothing to do with the device but rather her account. Somehow, someway.
SOLUTION: the user has device mobility. I was trying to edit her phone configuration when in fact I needed to edit the configuration of the Mobility "device." Odd and something I won't remember next time but a solution none the less.
