uc500 question

Hello,

I don't know if I am posting this in the right area, I just have a quick question and would appreciate the response. The UC500 doesn't say that it supports conferencing. No conference calls really? Also would it allow for indicator lights on the phones to display if someone in the office is on the phone. To me these are simple standard features, but I'm not seeing them on the feature sheet. Maybe there is a better place I should be looking that someone would know of. I'm  comparing the UC500 and the smart buisiness communications system. Thanks in advance.

Re: uc500 question

Hi,

Conferencing is fully supported and it is very easy to set up using CCA. We have 2 types of hardware conferencing:

Ad Hoc: Caller manually call otehr ans join then into the call.

Meet me: Caller dial a predetermine conference bridge number.

Here is a configuration example for meet me:

https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-9660

Also, the conference resource per UC 500 model are explained here:

https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-9744

I hope this helps.

Re: uc500 question

Hi,

The indicator lights you are reffering to are called BLF (Busy Lamp Field) on the UC520.

Take a look at this product overview and feature sheet:

Re: uc500 question

Good catch Eivind, I missed that part of the question. I should add that line monitor is fully supported in CCA 2.0.1.
