uc520 - sip voip.ms provider

hi,

I've configured my 520 using cca.

under telephony, ports and trunks, sip trunk I've configured the voip.ms trunk.

I can place outgoing calls but when I dial my xxx xxx xxxx number from any land phone I get a busy signal.

now under dial plan - incoming, under the direct dialing tab I've configured it using my did.

lets assume my did is 1234567890

inbound.png

so when I call that number using a land phone I get a busy signal. again I can place many outbound calls at the same time and it works.

maybe this can help... I did a debug voip dialpeer

when I call my did this is what I get but then on my landphone I hear a busy signal.

I'VE MASKED MY REAL DID WITH 1234567890

013685: //-1/xxxxxxxxxxxx/DPM/dpMatchPeersCore:

   Calling Number=1234567890, Called Number=1234567890, Peer Info Type=DIALPEER_INFO_SPEECH

013686: //-1/xxxxxxxxxxxx/DPM/dpMatchPeersCore:

   Match Rule=DP_MATCH_DEST; Called Number=1234567890

013687: //-1/xxxxxxxxxxxx/DPM/dpMatchCore:

   Dial String=1234567890, Expanded String=1234567890, Calling Number=1234567890T

   Timeout=TRUE, Is Incoming=FALSE, Peer Info Type=DIALPEER_INFO_SPEECH

013688: //-1/xxxxxxxxxxxx/DPM/MatchNextPeer:

   Result=Success(0); Outgoing Dial-peer=20010 Is Matched

013689: //-1/xxxxxxxxxxxx/DPM/MatchNextPeer:

   Result=Success(0); Outgoing Dial-peer=20015 Is Matched

013690: //-1/xxxxxxxxxxxx/DPM/dpMatchPeersCore:

   Result=Success(0) after DP_MATCH_DEST

013691: //-1/xxxxxxxxxxxx/DPM/dpMatchSafModulePlugin:

   dialstring=1234567890, saf_enabled=1, saf_dndb_lookup=1, dp_result=0

013692: //-1/xxxxxxxxxxxx/DPM/dpMatchPeersMoreArg:

   Result=SUCCESS(0)

   List of Matched Outgoing Dial-peer(s):

     1: Dial-peer Tag=20010

     2: Dial-peer Tag=20015

I'm doing all this using CCA, I'm running the latest version of everything.

thanks.

Hello,

I don't see the initial invite from Voip.MS but it looks like an issue with how their invite is configured.

Can you post the invite?

Thanks,

-john

Hello,

Is the UC connected to the internet directly with the IP 50.101.184.208 or is there another router/firewall in front of the UC?

Thanks,

-john

there is the isp device. some sort of a 'linksys' type device... you think that's causing the issue?

Community Member

Hello,

Yes, that is exactly the problem. Since the invite comes to the host IP, the UC rejects the calls as it doesn't have that IP, thus it thinks the call is not actually for it. If the Linksys router has a SIP ALG feature, you will want to enable that, as it will fix the SIP SDP messages. Another option, is to put that IP on the UC under a loopback interface.

I found this forum post which details your exact issue, and has some solutions for that customer: https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2058340

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

-john
