UC540 phones don't always ring?

Okay, I got the 7-5-4 firmware installed for the SPA525G phones.  I did this the conventional way by using a notebook with WinXP and CCA to upload the firmware file to the UC540.

This was done to accomodate the Plantronics headsets with EHS (Electronic Hook Switch).

After the upgrade, it seems the phones don't always ring on an incoming call.  Was working perfectly before.

Not sure if there is a setting for phone rining somewhere on the UC540, or if I should go with the 7-5-5 firmware (I went with 7-5-4 instead of 7-5-5 because people specifically said it fixed EHS).

BTW, when the phones don't ring on an incoming call, they DO flash.  They can see a call is coming in, it just doesn't ring.

Hi John,

I would recommend upgrading to 7.5.5. There were some issues with 7.5.4 regarding the SPA525's. You may be experiencing the following bugs that were fixed in 7.5.5.

CSCue95967 The ring volume is not saved by using the softkey SAVE for

ring volume.

CSCuf22909 When the phone in an active call initiates another call, the

corresponding BLF button blinks red as if the phone is

You may also try to factory reset the phone and see if that resolves it but I think upgrading to 7.5.5 will resolve this issue.
