UC560 AA Dial By Number Calls Never Go To Users VM

We have UC560 running 15.0(1)XA2.  AA is set up so that callers can dial a person's extension number will in the AA greeting.  The call is sent to the appropriate end user extesnion but never goes to voice mail if the user does not answer the call.  Has anyone run into the issue and if yes how was it resolved?

What script are you using?  What's the CFNA set for on the problem extension?  Is this programmed in CCA?

Regards,

Adam Compton

Adam,

Thank you for responding to my post.  The UC560 is using the aa_sbcs_v03.aef script.  The AA was configured from within CCA.  CFNA timeout is set to the default 20.

Thanks,

Doug

Does the phone continue to ring indefinitely?  If it does, can you post a sho run so I can check the phone settings?

Regards,

Adam Compton

Adam,

The phone will continue to ring until the caller hangs up.  Extension 7226 is one that you can look at.  The show run for the UC560 is attached.

Thanks,

Doug

This is the configuration of the phone in CLI:

!
ephone-dn  20  dual-line
number 7226 no-reg primary
pickup-group 1
label 7226
description Robert Flowers
name Robert Flowers
!

This ephone-dn is missing Call Forward Busy and Call Forward No Answer.  That's why it is not going to voicemail.  You may have hit a bug in CCA. You have two options:

1.  In CCA, take out the call forward information, apply, then add the information back and apply.

2.  Enter the following commands under ephone-dn:

ephone-dn  20  dual-line
call-forward busy 3099
call-forward noan 3099 timeout 20

this is the way other phones are configured to forward to voicemail.

The solution to the problem was adding a dial-peer statement on each UC500 to allow calls to be transferred to voice mail if the remote party did not answer their phone.  The CFB/CFNA had to be re-added to a small nuber of users.  For some reason the UC560 deleted this info from a small number of users.

Following are the dial-peer statements that were added to allow inter-UC500 calls to go to voice mail.  The two site connect via a MetroE type connection and VPN configurations were not used for multisite communications.

ON THE UC560 WE ADDED:

dial-peer voice 874 voip

description **VoIP calls to Branch CUE**

   destination-pattern 3099

   session target ipv4:192.168.59.251

   codec g711ulaw

   no vad

ON THE UC540 WE ADDED:

dial-peer voice 874 voip

description ** VoIP calls to Main CUE**

   destination-pattern 3098

   session target ipv4:192.168.58.251

   codec g711ulaw

   no vad
