Unable to connect to CCA 2.0

I currently have my default config 7.0.3  on the UC500. I cant connect to the CCA with my static IP which is setup to where they match the default IPs networks. I use 10.1.1.1 and 192.168.10.1 to connect. Im not sure if it has to do with the access list config or the way my IP is setup.

Re: Unable to connect to CCA 2.0

Can you view the web pages at 192.168.10.1?  Can you ssh and telnet to 192.168.10.1?  That is how CCA connects.

Also, can you view the webpage at 10.1.10.1?

Thanks

Re: Unable to connect to CCA 2.0

I wasn't able to do anything you mentioned on your reply. I was able to telnet the 192.168.10.1 through the UC500 but nothing else worked.

Re: Unable to connect to CCA 2.0

Are you on the LAN side of the UC500?  If you are remote, you should be able to VPN into the system and then use CCA.

Re: Unable to connect to CCA 2.0

Im doing this all locally from my PC to my UC500. How would I be able to VPN into the system and then use CCA? Im still very new to this.

Re: Unable to connect to CCA 2.0

Hi Neal,

I wasn't able to do anything you mentioned on your reply. I was able to
telnet the 192.168.10.1 through the UC500 but nothing else worked.

Ok i am going to assume right now that you are plugged into one of the Switch ports on the UC-500, i normally plug into Port 8 but that is out of habit :)

Secondly if you can telnet into the system, but are unable to access the system via CCA, there could be multiple problems here, first can you session into the system (telnet) and carry out the following command please.

Router# conf t [Press Enter]
(Now enter this command) ip http server

Further to that can you do a "sh run" (At Router# not in configuration mode) and press space bar untill you get to the above and see if you have the following commands there as well:

ip http authentication local
ip http secure-server
ip http client source-interface BVI1
ip http path flash:/gui

It may not be exact but do let us know what you do have there.

And i guess for good measure, if you used CCA to configure this system, check and make sure the following is there as well:

ip dhcp relay information trust-all
ip dhcp excluded-address 10.1.1.1
ip dhcp excluded-address 10.1.1.1 10.1.1.10
ip dhcp excluded-address 192.168.10.1
ip dhcp excluded-address 192.168.10.1 192.168.10.10

I have seen bad installs with CCA happen where it has left out the above, but in the most recent installments of CCA i have not see this happen, but the way you describe the problem, it seems almost identical to what i have had to deal with in the past.

Cheers,

David.

Re: Unable to connect to CCA 2.0

Ok I have entered the command:

ip http server

I am using the default configuration for the UC500, it's the 7.0.3 config. Now on the sections you mentioned about, here is what I have:

ip http server
ip http authentication local
ip http secure-server
ip http path flash:/gui/
ip nat inside source list 1 interface FastEthernet0/0 overload

also for the dhcp:

ip dhcp relay information trust-all
ip dhcp use vrf connected
ip dhcp excluded-address 10.1.1.1 10.1.1.10
ip dhcp excluded-address 192.168.10.1 192.168.10.10

I haven't been able to connect to CCA nor have I been able to telnet from my PC to the UC500. But for some reason, I was able to telnet directly from my UC500 just fine just by typing in the 192.168.10.1.

Re: Unable to connect to CCA 2.0

Do you have the startup config on flash?

Can you paste a show flash: all

I would like to see if we can copy the default config back to the box and then see if CCA will connect.

Re: Unable to connect to CCA 2.0

These are both the sh flash all, and the startup config that I have on the UC.

Re: Unable to connect to CCA 2.0

Do this.

copy flash:UC520W-16U-4FXO-K9-factory-7.0.3.cfg startup-config

reload

If it asks you to save the config, do NOT save it.

Let me know if you can connect after that or not.  Also, do you have any firewalls on your computer?

Re: Unable to connect to CCA 2.0

I copied the config to the startup file, did the reload, it didn't ask me if I wanted to save anything so I did the reload. I tried connecting again but it didn't connect.

I had my PC ip address assigned as 192.168.10.20 and my gateway 192.168.10.0. The IP connection I did for the CCA was 192.168.10.1.

I do have software firewall and a windows firewall on my pc. I disabled the software firewall and I have exceptions enabled for my windows firewall. TFTP, Telnet, and ICMP settings are checked.

Re: Unable to connect to CCA 2.0

If you have any type of antivirus software, disable that as well.  Can you find another computer to connect with that doesn't have any software firewalls or antivirus?  I want to make sure you don't have a problem on the UC500.

Re: Unable to connect to CCA 2.0

I disabled all firewalls and antivirus on the PC. I wasn't able to connect to CCA.

Re: Unable to connect to CCA 2.0

I am sorry to hear you are still having this issue. Can you please open a TAC case?

Thanks,

Marcos
