access shared file (CIFS) through webvpn

Hi Sir

I am using vpn concentrator 30005 with ios ver 4.7.1.rel for client remote access.it is working perfectly.

using webvpn to access CIFS shared folder on my internal 2003 windows server is not working(second attempt for login is requested when you click on the shared file link but it fails to access. Accessing the internal http web-link is successful.

The vpn concentrator is using AD-kerberos for authentication with 2003 windows server.

Wins is configured as well on the concentrator and 2003 server.

neither SSL vpn client nor cisco secure desktop is used.

Can you help please?

Re: access shared file (CIFS) through webvpn

As a first step check the ACL configured regarding CIFS.Sometimes configurations goes wrong. Here are the steps you need to follow when configuring sharing server.

Configuration | Tunneling and Security | WebVPN | Servers and URLs | Add Name: Type the name of the server.

Server Type:

For sharing choose CIFS server.

Remote Server:

CIFS format: //server/share/folder.
