Re: ACS pointing to Windows 2000 server for authenticating user

The official documentation is here:

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/access/acs_soft/csacs4nt/acs32/user02/d.htm#wp803523

There's not much to it really, under External User Database, select Database Configuration - Windows Database, create a new config, all of the settings are pretty obvious under here. Then go to the Unknown User Policy section, select the "Check the following user database" radio button and move the Windows database to the right-hand column. That's it.

If you want to get clever you can map users into certain ACS groups based on their Windows group mappings, this is under the Database Group Mappings section, but you don't have to do this to get it working. By default everyone is just mapped into he ACS "Default" group.
