Allow web traffic to bypass VPN

I'm using VPN Client 5.0.07.0290 to connect to work and remote desktop in.

Is it possible to set up the VPN client so that all traffic outside of remote desktop goes through my normal internet connection?

Yes you would need to configure split tunneling.

How do you set up split tunneling with cisco vpn client?   Is there a document for it somewhere?

on the transport tab click Allow Local Lan Access.

After checking that box, how do you set up the web traffic to route through the standard connection and RDP to go through the VPN.  It appears that everything still tries to go through the VPN.

That is done in the configuration in the firewall on the pix or asa. You can look at the route on the vpn client in status, statistics, route details.

Here is an example of the split- tunnel from an asa.

group-policy RemoteVPN attributes

dns-server value

vpn-simultaneous-logins 3

vpn-idle-timeout 300

vpn-session-timeout 600

vpn-filter none

vpn-tunnel-protocol IPSec svc webvpn

ipsec-udp enable

split-tunnel-policy tunnelspecified

split-tunnel-network-list value VPN_SplitTunnel1
