AnyConnect for Mac/Where are User Specific Files?

Greetings,

AnyConnect for Mac is crashing for one specific user on my system.  Any other users I create can log in just fine using AnyConnect.

I am trying to find out where all user specific files are as it relates to AnyConnect and the user starting the client.  I am hoping to identify them so I can either repair or remove them with the hope that it will resolve my issue.

Best regards,

Brenden

Hey Brendan,

If you are using CSD, then you'll find information regarding the log files at this link:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/csd/csd35/configuration/guide/CSDglobe.html#wp1208960

If you looking only for client files then on a MAC they are located in /Applications/Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client/Contents/Resources.

However particularly for crashes you can follow the following steps:

  1. Open the /Applications/Utility folder and launch the "Console" application.
  2. Select the "Show Log List" option.
  3. Navigate to "LOG FILES -> ~/Library/Logs -> CrashReporter"
  4. Look for any "Cisco Anyconnect" or "vpnagentd" logs ie:
     ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client.crash.log

Hope that helps.

Atri.
