While setting up Anyconnect Mobile v3.0.4325 I notice on the client laptop it offers you to connect to the previous connection by using the ASA's hostname, when I use this the local certificate generated on the ASA is offered to me, once you accept that i get the following error
However if I then type in the actual IP address of the ASA's outside interface, instead of choosing the ASA name offered by default, it does not offer me a certificate option and once authenticated it works fine.
I even went into the Anyconnect Client profile and changed it to display only the IP address, but then I get the same result as above the next time I try to connect.
Does this ASA hostname offered need to be DNS resolvable via a public DNS server??? or am I missing something??
