AnyConnect on a Windows 8 tablet?

Ivaylo Georgiev

I am looking at the release notes for the latest version of AnyConnect - 3.1,  and it says that:

"AnyConnect is not integrated with the new UI  framework, written in the Metro design language, that is deployed on  Windows 8; however, AnyConnect does run on Windows 8 in desktop mode."

Does that automatically mean that it is not supported on Windows 8 clients?

Thanks,

Ivo.

Ivo,

In same doc you have:

AnyConnect Support for Windows 8

AnyConnect support for Windows 8 32-bit and Windows 8 64-bit operating systems was added in 3.0.11042 and later versions (for 3.0.x versions) and 3.1.02026 and later (for 3.1.x versions), with the following limitations.

There's just no integration with the new UI, AFAIR it's behaving like it would on win7.

HTH ;-)

It works fine for me, even on a Windows 8.1 preview client.
