ASA 5540 VPN issues

Need to some help with this one bad.

Running ASA Version 8.4(1) on a ASA 5540

We have sites (X and Z) and VPN clients that reside in domain X can access resources (MS Exchange and Files) on the LAN with no issues. However, when VPN clients try to access resources (email and file shares) within domain Z they can not get connected to MS Exchange, and some LAN resources.

I have noticed that I do not have a 'name-server' or 'dns domain-lookup' parameter in the config.  Only 'dns server-group DefaultDNS' and domain-name "oursite domain"

Could this cause these types of issues?

I will have to get a Change Request to even test..

Anyone seen this problem before?

Need help!

Without knowing your infra setup and ASA configs, it is hard to tell where the issue is. General checks...

X, Y and Z are in different ip subnets/location?

Make sure the DNS servers that the VPN client use can resolve the 'Z' location servers.

Also, make sure that proper 'static' & route statements exists for accessing 'Z' location resources.

Thx
