I have an ASA 5510 with the CSC module.
I've tried to enable IM blocking in the global objects group but i can still open up a yahoo messenger account. what else do I need to enable via the GUI to have IM blocking enabled?
Second Question. for P2P blocking, does anyone know if that will affect web ex traffic or anything like that?
thanks,

You can use HTTP inspect rules

This doesn't say anything about filtering IM traffic. I don't have a websense or N2H2 server and was told that I would not need one to filter IM or P2P traffic with the ASA w/CSC module. My question is what else do I need to enable besides going in to the global properties within the ADSM to enable IM blocking? Do I need to go in to the CSC and block, for example, http://messenger.yahoo.com/ to make sure that IM is disabled for yahoo messenger?
