ASA configuration without public IP

Hi,

We are using MPLS link to connect all the branch offices. Now my qusetion is can I use ASA 5520 in my MPLS network for security. We don't have any public IP address for MPLS. I want to fixed it behind MPLS router.

1)Is it possible to configure ASA without having public ip address?

2)is it provide enough security?

Re: ASA configuration without public IP

somnath,

Yes - in this situation I would consider configuring the ASA in "Transparent" mode, effectivly without IP addresses. but fully secure. See the below link for config on the ASA in transparent mode.
