I have a customer whom has purchased two 5510 ASA boxes to replace the 2 legacy PIX 515's in their Production Data Center.
While testing today during a maintenance window, we unplugged our Primary box, but the Failover did not work.
I have performed more testing this evening, and have determined the following:
Although the configuration of failover on is configured and then copied to startup config, each time the box is restarted, it comes up with failover off.
I was curious if anyone had seen this behavior before?...
Thanks

Hi,
From documentation ASA 5510 doesn't support High Availability:

Hope this helps..

Actually I am not sure if in fact what you have referenced as "High Availability" is the same thing as failover...

could you show me "sh fail", "sh ver" on both 5510?
