ASA SSL VPN problem with 8.2(2)

Hello everybody,

I have a couple of ASA 5520 running image 8.2(1) in active/standby failover mode.

Some month ago I downloaded the 8.2(2) from the cisco site and loaded it to the ASA.
After the loading of  the new image, they called me for problems
concerning the operation of the webvpn application.

The web application seemed to work, but in a read only mode, because you couldn't

modify the content of the records.

I couldn't  find a way to make it work, so I decided to downgrade to 8.2(1),
and as I loaded the old image the problem disappeared.

Now I see it's available the image 8.2(3).
To avoid the risk of malfunction I tetsted it on a spare 5510, and with disappoint I found
the problem was the same.

Does anybody faced such problem or can suggest me how to solve it ?

Thanks in advance.

Marco.

Can you please provide additional details regarding what application is not working through the clientless WebVPN interface?  Have you tried to enable Smart Tunneling for this application?

Re: ASA SSL VPN problem with 8.2(2)

Hello Todd,

it's a web application you access with just the Internet Explorer broser.

The problem is: I load one record of the DB, then if I try to modify some of the fields,

when I give the OK to apply the changes, it just ignore it.

The problem rised with ASA 8.2(2), with 8.2(1) it works fine.

Maybe something changed with javascript settings ?

Thanks,

Marco.
