Bandwidth after implemnting VPN/IPSec

I have Cat-6500 with Flex-WAN connected to 50 remote branches 2800/3600 Routers

Running data and IP Tepelphony traffic

I will implement VPN/IPSec. between HQ and branches using IPSec SPA on Cat-6500 and NM-VPN/MP for 3640 routers and AIM-VPN/EPII-PLUS for 2800 routers

I will exclude the voice traffic from the VPN/IPSec

Questions:

Does the NM-VPN/MP & AIM-VPN/EPII-PLUS will impact the performance of my 3640/2800 routers

Do I need to increase the bandwidth between HQ and remote branches due to the overhead of IPSec. on data traffic ?

For example: If I have 1M between HQ and one branch,10 voice G.729 Channel , and remaining bandwidth for data

What is the increase on b.w should be done after IPSec. ?

Regards

Mohamed

Re: Bandwidth after implemnting VPN/IPSec

On installing VPN actually bandwidth can be saved. Normally CPU Utlization of the devices should be normal. In case if there is an idea to implement video traffic it is better to add a VPN card.Recommended Connection speed is 56 Kbps, 128 Kbps.
