Can L2L IPSec tunnels be terminated on ASA subinterfaces?

I know this works with routers, but can't seem to get it to work on the ASA 5510 (8.0(4)). Basically, the requirement is for multiple L2L IPSec Tunnels to terminate to multiple external IP addresses on the same ASA.

I have the crypto maps configured correctly, but the routing doesnt seem to be working right (static or dynamic), as I can only get one tunnel up at a time.

I know that the usual configuration is just to terminate multiple tunnels on a single external IP, but in my situation I'm looking for alternative solutions.

thanks

I have never seen this done before so can;t really comment - I am however interested in why you would want to do this?
