Can't install Cisco VPN successfully on XP laptop

After loading Cisco VPN, I lose the START button and all the internet connection. It destroys the laptop.

There must be a procedure to restore the settings - can anyone send me the steps? Really need it to work.

Raymond, have you got the latest version of Cisco VPN client(v4.0.3c)? At least that is what I have been using with my XP and works fine... Earlier version that I tried, gave me funny error messages..
