Can't synchronize PIX Firewall

Hi,

I have a pair of PIX Firewalls 515E with failover activated.

For a long time ago, the Active / Standby config works fine.

But when I have updated the PIX OS image from 6.3 to 7.0 then 7.2, 8.0, 8.0.4 on the primary PIX unit , I have discovered that no synchronization is made bewtween the two PIX firewalls. (the Active and the Stanby).

I tried to update the PIX OS image for the standby unit (even isolated) but without success.

Could someone, tell how fix this problem and getting the two PIX units at the same PIX OS version with successfull Active / Stanby synchronization.

The failover will not work on any two units unless they are identical. They MUST be running the same version of IOS on BOTH units for synchronisation to work 100%.
