Cisco AnyConnect Client intermittently not available

Since upgrading Cisco ASA5520 from 8.4.7(8) to (15) we have been having issues with our 3.1.01065 clients where one of the following may occur:

- You cannot find the Cisco AnyConnect icon on tray or notification area
- You get no response when launching the Cisco AnyConnect client from the Start menu 
- You see a red X symbol on top of the Cisco AnyConnect icon on the tray

 

The resolution right now is to:

1. Open the “Windows Task Manager”  (keys Crtl + Shift + Esc)
2. Find and select the line called “vpnui.exe”
3. Click on the “End Process” button.
4. Repeat this if  you find multiple lines for “vpnui.exe”
5. Re-open the Cisco AnyConnect client from the Start menu
 
Anyone experiencing this, we are getting calls all the time now on this?
