cisco pix 515e to Juniper VPN - Application disconnects often

Hi All

I am facing an issue with a site to site VPN connection between a cisco PIX 515E firewall and a peer as Juniper firewall. The tunnel status reports stable when checked and there are no abnormal error messages, but the issue is in the access of the application over the VPN Tunnel. The customer is using SAP application over the vpn. They report that frequently the application connection gets broken despite the VPN tunnel status showing up. Please let me know if you have a clue of what this issue might be related to. .

is this caused when the connection or the application is left idle for a long time and then we send traffic agian after sometime
