Citrix App Disconnect over IPSEC VPN in ASA

Hi,

We have built IPSEC VPN over MPLS P2P circuit between Head & Branch office using Cisco ASA 5510. Client systems at Branch office connects to Citrix app at Head office, but it gets disconnect intermittently for all user. Please let me know if any recommendations/changes required for Citrix App whn passing over IPSEC VPN/ ASA.

Hi,

We need first to understand what is causing the issue, for this we would need to place captures on the client, the ASA and the server (if possible).

Does the tunnel remain up during  the Citrix app issue? Are you able to ping the server during the downtime?

There is no problem with Tunnel its up and all other application HTTP, HTTPS, Pop3 etc... works fine except Citrix.

We face different type of problem with respect to RDP over the same VPN tunnel. When the RDP session is idle for few minutes and when we try to reconnect, it consumes Bandwidth of more than 40Mbps which disconnects all application over the Tunnel and then it comes back to normal.
