Connection attempt has timed out. Please verify Internet connectivity.

Hi,

Our clients facing issues with Cisco AnyConnect while connecting first time in the office. It is fine outside (home, hotspot,etc)

What could be issue..please help on this reqgard.

Hi Manju,

There can be a lot of reasons for this error.

May i know the version of the Anyconnect being used ?

We would need DART to know the reason behind this issue:

Thanks for the reply.

AnyConnect version is 4.2.02075 and that is latest.

Please find the DART logs attached. This is the bundle taken from one of the Mac User.

Please help us in fixing this issue.

I see that there is a reachability issue to the VPN server as it gets a connect failure notification.

When trying to connect from office for the first time are you able to resolve:bxb-vpn-cluster.cisco.com ?

Hi Aditya,

When trying to connect from office, it will be able to resolve after 3-5 failure attempts to bxb-vpn-cluster.cisco.com.

We need to keep try on this connect.

Apologies for the delay.

As per the screenshot it is clear that from your host we are not able to resolve this URL.

You need to check first why we are not able to resolve this and until and unless we are not able to fix this Anyconnect would fail connecting to the server.

You mean to say that bxb-vpn-cluster.cisco.com URL should resolve before VPN connects? actually this URL, we are able to resolve after connecting to VPN AnyConnect.

Steps :

 

1 .check if you are getting the internet connection

2. If yes search for host file in c drive  and  open in notepad , below is the common location.

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc.

3. Delete the complete line with IP address if any for cisco any connect .

( e.g.    192.168.0.1 #"Cisco any connect ")

4. save the file.

5. Try to connect again.

 

 

Above steps resolve this error for me.
