Creating and managing 400 vpn's

Hi,

i have to make design for one head quater and 400 locations. I was thinking to install ASA 5520 in the HQ and use Cisco 851 routers on each remote location. Then make IPsec tunnels to each remote location. I have experince in making tunnels and with all his equipment. My queston is, can ASA 5520 handle all this locations, bandwidth wont be more then 20MB/s?

Best regards Nemanja

Re: Creating and managing 400 vpn's

Hi,

The ASA 5520 can handle 750 VPN peers and has a VPN throughput up to 225 Mbps.

Based on this information and your Internet connections (remote location and headquarters), you should be fine.

Another option is to create either a DMVPN or GETVPN, but you will need a Router as the headend device instead than the ASA.

Federico.
