Hi All,
Below is an error message that I got on our VPN router. I checked Cisco webpage but couldn't find the solution. Can you please help me out? Thanks
%CRYPTO-4-RECVD_PKT_NOT_IPSEC : Rec'd packet not an IPSEC packet.
(ip) vrf/dest_addr= [chars]/[IP_address], src_addr= [IP_address], prot= [dec]

Did you see many of these messages? Is there a vpn connection that seems to drop offline after a certain period?
This URL: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/iosswrel/ps1835/products_system_message_guide_chapter09186a008009e75f.html states that the message means that the incoming packet met a crypto map acl permit entry, but the packet was not ipsec encapsulated.
If you are receiving many of these messages, contact the administrator of the remote host (src_addr) and examine the crypto map acls to insure that both are mirror images of each other.
Let me know what you find.
