Hi,
Is it possible for my 871s and the clients connected to it get the DHCP addresses from my ASA 5520 connecting through EZVP? Right now I have the DHCP pool on the 871s, but I think it will work better for me to have the ASA give it out since we now have 2 ASA is two different regions for backup.

Hi,
When the clients send a DHCP broadcast request, the 871 can be configured with the ''ip helper-address x.x.x.x'' command on the incoming interface, so that will take the DHCP request and send it as unicast to x.x.x.x (IP of the ASA).
As long as you have connectivity, it should work.
Federico.
