Dialbackup to Internet with IPSEC and GRE VPN

I am attempting to do dial backup on an 831 to the internet and then build a VPN tunnel to either Hub router (Dual Hub and spoke VPN design) across the dialup connection. I have dial backup working great to a RAS server at the HUB sites backbone but when I try to move the dialup off to an ISP and then encrypt the traffic, I get weird failures. I CAN dial to the internet and get connected, it starts to fall apart when I try to do the crypto map off the dialer interface. Please take a look and tell me what you would recommend to try.

Forgot to mention. The dial backup kicks off when the default route thru the VPN tunnels via EIGRP disappears (vpn or GRE tunnels must be down)
