Hostscan impossible to use for home users due to late updates?
Using Hostscan with any group of users using "home" / "personal" computers seems impossible.
Popular home AV products like Security Essentials AVG and Avast release new core versions regularly, causing Hostscan to fail.. Even with Cisco reparating out the host scan updates I am still seeing many months of delay between updates... Microsoft has changed Security Essentials to a direct update model so most users don't even get a choice to delay upgrade.
This isn't an issue for corporate users where protuct cycles are managed and longer, but it seems to be impossible to allow home systems AND user hostscan..
