How do you monitoring your VPN sessions?

I would like to make the current VPN sessions, (i.e. Username, Session Time, etc) available to our support techs. Currently I use ADSM to lookup this information, however its not a tool that I wish to give out to our support techs because they don't need another tool to install and use just to see if someone is already connected via VPN when they are calling in for support. But I still want to give them a way to see who is connected instead of having to come to me each time.

The best way that I can see to do this is to create a SNMP inquery and that updates every 5 to 15 mins in one of our monitoring applications. However the OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.392.1.3.21.1.1 which gives VPN usernames is a protected value and cannot be viewed.

So my question is, have you had to perform a similiar function in your environment, and if so, how did you go about doing it?

Thanks
