The points to be considered here is the health check on the Physical line whether its alive or down which can be chekced out by measuring the voltage across the line.
Second thing is ur ISDN interface whether its a S/T compatible or U ...
Then comes the Authentication pattern, whether u really want to have authentication between ur sides or not.
its safer and generally recommended to have the same up on both the routers.
After that you need to check out whether ur traffic needs going to rise or going to decline .
in case of rise better to have dialer interface configured and in later stage u can bind more physical interface to the dialer interface.
this will also help u to take care of having access to other remote locations using different dialers to different locations using the same bri line.
if its going to be simple point to point between only 2 of the locations u can make it simple using the bri interfaces itself instead of going for a dialer interface...
Also refer this link with dialer interfaces configured ...
http://cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk801/tk133/technologies_configuration_example09186a0080093c2e.shtml
you need to have the minimum ios code in ur box to support/detect the ISDN Card which u install in it..

Hi,
as a start have a look at "Configuring ISDN BRI"
Or for the complete picture: "Cisco IOS Dial Technologies Configuration Guide"
ISDN features should be in every IOS feature set. But better check with http://www.cisco.com/go/fn for your specific IOS version and hardware combination.
Hope this helps
