Hi, i am upgrading IDSM2 from 5.x to 6.x the problem i had is that when i follow the document which is :http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/ips/6.0/configuration/guide/cli/cliImage.html#wp1031426,
I had a problem when i issue the command :ftp://user@ftp_server_IP_address/directory_path/WS-SVC-IDSM2-K9-sys-1.1-a-6.0-0.190-E0.
1.bin.gz the error was saying that the file is not .pkg file, when i again refer to the document i fond that i have to boot up the IDSM to the maintenance partition first theN issue the ftp command, my problem
is how can i access the maintenance partition .and is there any other way to upgrade my IDSM
I tried to log in through the consol so i can press CTRL + x or any other key but the boot through the consol dosn`t show any boot progress
i also tried throught the GUI but i think it only accept the update of the service pack and signture
please i need a help
