IPSec router on a stick

Please tell me what are guidelines of configuring ipsec on a single interface. It would be nice to hear your success stories and see some working examples.

Another words - is it possible to process encrypted and decrypted traffic on the same single interface?

It is possible, personally I did it long ago, but i have seen it working fine, this all has to do with routing.
