name resolution of internal servers in a vpn connection

Hello,

I need help,

I make a vpn tunnel between Router 1801 to Linksys BEFVP41, the ping it's ok between 2 sites but sql replication is fail, i have SQL2000 sever in HQ router and MSDE sql 7.0 in remote sites, in sql2000 server is setting up the NAME of remote server,

i know that i need to put name and ip in hosts file but .Is there another form in cisco router configuration?

AFAIK - the cisco router will have very limited DNS capabilities. As of ver 12.3 the DNS capabilites have been increased, but I think memory/cpu cycles also increased.

You may want to just look into the "ip domain lookup" and "IP Hosts" for your simple requirement.
