One way VPN Tunnel (Initiating or Receiving Peer)

Hi,

I am having a lot of VPN in my organization. In some specific case I found that my VPN device has to act like Receiving Peer not as Initiating Peer.

Now, in Cisco VPN Concentrator 3000 I found that I can make the Concentrator acting as Initiator or Receiver for any specific VPN tunnel. That means the VPN tunnel will establish only when the initiating peer initiates traffic.

I want to know is there any command that I can apply in my Firewall (ASA 5540 - 8.2(1)) or Router (Cisco 2821 with AdvIPservicek9) so that it can act as Initiator or Receiving Peer.

Please let me know if there is any such command. Thanks in advance.

Re: One way VPN Tunnel (Initiating or Receiving Peer)

Hi Adnan,

On ASA, please find the comand below:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa82/command/reference/c5.html#wp2238363

On routers, the command I suppose is the same. If it,s not in the same line it will be within the crypto map configuration mode.

Hope that helps!!
