per user vpn client pool

What is the way to set up vpn client tunnels so that the client get's assigned the same IP from the ASA5510 every time?

I'm assuming I would somehow define a pool with one IP address for each user and then somehow specify to use that pool in the user attributes?

If someone can help could you please provide a configuration example?

Thanks, as always.

Re: per user vpn client pool

Hi,

If you're assigning addresses to the VPN clients from a local pool on the ASA, you can assign a specific IP to a specific user all the time.

Let's say you have a user ''cisco''

username cisco attributes

vpn-framed-ip-address    Enter the IP address and the net mask to be assigned
                                        to the client

You use the command ''vpn-framed-ip-address'' under the attributes for the user.

Hope it helps.

Federico.
