Problem PPTP through GLBP

Hi,

I have 2 GLBP routers working fine together for all type of traffic except for PPTP VPN. Nat overload is used on both 1812 routers.

PPTP VPN connection is broken every 3 or 4 minutes if the station uses the GLBP virtual IP as gateway.

If the station uses a 'physical' IP address of one router as the default gateway, the PPTP VPN works fine...

Does anyone has any idea why ?

Here is the GLBP config (I make weight-based load balancing because my 2 dsl lines doesn't have the same line speed) :

interface Vlan1

ip address 192.168.8.5 255.255.255.0

ip nat inside

ip virtual-reassembly

glbp 10 ip 192.168.8.4

glbp 10 timers 5 18

glbp 10 priority 150

glbp 10 preempt delay minimum 60

glbp 10 weighting 110 lower 95 upper 105

glbp 10 client-cache maximum 40

glbp 10 load-balancing weighted

glbp 10 authentication md5 key-chain HSRP_KEY

glbp 10 weighting track 100 decrement 20

glbp 10 forwarder preempt delay minimum 60

NAT config :

ip nat translation tcp-timeout 120

ip nat translation udp-timeout 120

ip nat inside source list 120 interface Dialer1 overload

access-list 120 permit ip 192.168.8.0 0.0.0.255 any

Thanks to anybody who could help me.

Regards,

Olivier

Re: Problem PPTP through GLBP

Hi,

For info, vpn doesn't really like per-weight load-balancing, as written in the documentation ^^

Okay, I should have read it slower :))

By configuring it with per-host load balancing fixed the issue.
