Question about VPN(access to shared folder )

Hi,

When i start the cisco vpn client and i want to connect to a pix it's ok.

The tunnel is ok. it give me a local address(192.168.31.160 for example).

When i launch a remote desktop(192.168.31.220) to a server in local network it's ok.

But when i want to see a shared folder it tell that's impossible.I open a eplorator window and i tape \\192.168.31.220 and nothing;

When I search this server(search computers)-->nothing.

Do i activate a options, or it's impossible to work like if you are in a local network?

Please help me!!

In advance thank you

Re: Question about VPN(access to shared folder )

you can access the shared folder through VPN

Try this: Reduce the MTU size through the MTU Utility that comes with the vpn client.

Try this also: configure WINS on the NT server and configure the vpn client machines WINS to use the NT

Server. Or you can configure the LMHost file on the Client with all the IP addresses of the NT

Server and all other hosts on the domain that it will connect to.
