Remote VPN client not able to access internet

Whenever any remote client connects to our central office PIX throgh cisco vpn client then after connecting to VPN that remote client is not able to access internet from his workstation.

And when he disconnects the VPN then he is able to access internet.

After connecting to VPN he is able to access intranet with out any issue.

I have configured split-tunnel in my PIX 515 (6.(3)version). But still facing problem. My VPN clinet version 4.8.

Also, if i explicitly add route at remote user micrsoft windows then internet and intranet works fine.

Following is my configuration

vpngroup test idle-time 1800

vpngroup split-tunnel idle-time 1800

vpngroup group idle-time 1800

vpngroup test1 address-pool vpnpool1

vpngroup test1 split-tunnel 101

vpngroup test1 idle-time 1800

vpngroup test1 password ********

Pls let me know what additional i have to configure.

Re: Remote VPN client not able to access internet

I am not 100% sure but windows see the vpn connection as the default gateway for internet explorer to access the internet.Thats why you cannot access the web.Adding the route to windows as you did would do it for me. If anybody can help further he is welcome to. If i helped, rate!!

Re: Remote VPN client not able to access internet

What is your ACL 101 like?

It should have permit on the User to Office network traffic, and deny everything else.

Also, check the proxy config on the remote user.

Please rate if this helped.
