Remote VPN to ASA. No xlate

I am testing remote users connecting to an ASA. The syslog shows no xlate being forned. Users cannot connect. Do I need to set up NAT for remote VPN users to the ASA?

Re: Remote VPN to ASA. No xlate

It depends on your network setup. Are you using your own public address within your network and are not performing NAT from inside to outside, then NAT is not needed. If you want to hide your addresses on your inside network (safer), then you must use NAT for translating the addresses.

By the way, the remote user connectivity can involve so many other parameters that you may also want to check.
