Serious problems with VPN local access


we have been running cisco asa 5505 for vpn connections for several years, but latest weeks it has been a mess.

Client can always connect , everything seems to be okay, but for example, client ping local server, and only first ping responds. Then suddenly pings start to work again, and sometimes not. No changes made to vpn configs lately.

I can see in syslog that icmp packets are passing but clients first ping is responding, no second third etc..t..for example, In syslog i can see " Teardown ICMP connection for faddr gaddr laddr (username)" when i try to ping from client trough vpn connection (


Pinging with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from bytes=32 time=13ms TTL=128

Request timed out.

Request timed out.

How could i debug this issue, it's weird because sometimes it works perfectly and sometimes not..

I'm using VPN client and asa is running 7.22 version.
