I have been having a hard time getting a site-to-site VPN setup with a Dynamic Address on IOS to Static Address on ASA. I have followed the example found here. http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/vpndevc/ps2030/products_configuration_example09186a00807ea936.shtml but it will only work if I name the Tunnel Group on the ASA the current IP Address of the IOS WAN port if I use a generic name such as 'cisco' as in the example it fails. Here is my current configs from both the ASA and IOS. 192.168.7.5.0/24 is LAN side IOS and 192.168.254.0/24 is LAN side ASA Any help would be appreciated.
You need to use the tunnel group DefaultL2LGroup....
tunnel-group DefaultL2LGroup type ipsec-l2l
