hi all i have a cisco vpn concentrator 3005. my console cable is not working.and in the last config i had set to restore to factory defaults and rebooted. now i can only access it from browser. but i don;t know the default ip address given to the pricate interface of the ceoncentrator. i tried to find out a lot but couldn;t find a document on the same. does it set a default ip address then what is it. or getting a console cable is the only option i am left it. pls help it;s urgent. waiting for someone to reply.
With the factory default configuration all setting are erased and you have to configure the private ip address with quick configuration to make the concentrator operational and enable network connectivity from an admin workstation.
For that you need console cable (straight-through RS-232 serial cables with a female DB-9 connector).

I am not sure, since this was long ago..but at least you can try - the ip address was something like 10.0.0.1 or 10.0.0.100, probably the .1 but you can try with any ip address from the class A network.
