For end to end protection of a message between 2 hosts which esp mode are used?
Is it transport mode or tunnel mode
Or what is the answer

tunnel mode will achieve a higher security level, as the entire packet is encapsulated. pix default is tunnel mode.
further pix doesn't allow transport mode to be used by lan-lan vpn, only remote vpn access.
