unique ASA IP peer for remote access from internal vlans
Hi, can I configure ASA to have an unique IP for vpn remote-access for all internal vlansin ASA 8.2(x) ?
Apart for outside interface, where we use public IP for remote-access, we need to use the same ASA private IP for vpn remote-access coming from all internal vlans (i.e. like management-access for ssh).
Re: unique ASA IP peer for remote access from internal vlans
As far as I'm aware you can only terminate the IPsec VPN connections on the actual IP of the interface of the ASA.
You cannot have an spare IP (not belonging to an interface) and terminate the VPN there (like you can do on routers), because the crypto map needs to be applied to an interface and there's no mechanism to reference to another IP.
Unless something has changed recently that I'm now aware, it cannot be done.
