UNIX telnet sessions get disconnected over IPSec VPNs

I have some VPNs configured like IPSec tunnels btw PIX firewalls and other equip (VPN Concentrators, Netscreen firewalls).

For some of the tunnels, users on remote location complain of getting disconnected from their UNIX tcp sessions (Telnet) several times a day. If I switch them on FR links they can work just fine.

Configs seems to be fine on both ends.

Any ideea ?

Thank you.

I am going to bet that these connections get logged on early in the morning and then they are used when needed correct?

The problem is most likely going to be the connection timeout of 1 hour

timeout conn 1:00:00 half-closed 0:10:00 udp 0:02:00 rpc 0:10:00 h225 1:00:00

There isn't really anything that you can do on a host level with this as it is a global setting. Maybe see if there is a functionality in the Term Client to send keepalives etc.

Hope this helps....

Well, is not the case,

The users are doing their work with the app. when they suddenly get disconnected (and not all at the same time).
